Default Put the 1650 & loader to work today.

I finished the needed repairs on the loader this morning and decided to use it to help with the repairs we are doing to our 1995 Case IH 2188 Combine. We are rebuilding the feeder housing and also replacing the rotor assembly and what is called the Rotor Transition Cone. Getting the transition cone back into the machine is a very tight fit as you are working under the cab and inside the front of the machine. The cone weighs around 350 lbs and the 1650 & loader handled it without breaking a sweat. We chained it to the bucket and lifted it into place. I was amazed at how easy this made replacing the clumsy awkward part. Here are a couple of pictures for those of you who have never seen the inside of a modern rotary combine.

Lifting transition cone into place, as you can see tight quarters.

Old worn damaged rotor. New replacement rotor that is a improved model that is still used in current models. of this combine today.

I just wanted to show that a Cub Cadet with a front end loader can be a very use full tool around the farm and home when used within its capabilities. Thanks to all who responded to this post with help and support.

That is the nicest comment I have heard in a long time!!! Thanks.
Now you know why I wanted a small loader for a Cub Cadet. I already have many plans on what it can do to make the wife's and my life easier.

So I can now add FEL to the list of Cubs I'll probably never own--same list has a Diesel and a Tank zero turn.

I have wanted a FEL on a Cub Cadet for quite some time but never figured I would have one then I ran across this one and when I mentioned it to the wife she was supportive. So I bought it. Never say never.

Very good Tom. I too am jealous, and thinking this is something the wife "needs", or, ah, Todd wants.
Do I need a FEL? Well absolutely not. BUT I want one...
Thinking you'll find a lot of chores for it around the farm.

Each time I see a front end loader (FEL) I need a drool apron. I looked for several years now but to no avail. I bought a Johnny bucket jr and it works real good. One problem is it is electrically operated and the 2072 that it is mounted on can only take a garden tractor size battery mounted under the seat. Plus it only lifts about a foot. Now a fel lifts much higher than that so I am still in the market for one, one that the seller realizes it is not made out of gold. Sure would help with wood splitting and hauling chores.

I could not go back to not having a FEL! I use it for everything. Throw tools or shovels in it for fixing things, move firewood, gravel, dirt, cub parts, and just lifting heavy things. Best money ever spent!

Glad you like yours!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
