Hanson- General Sprayer
I picked up this sprayer a month ago at the salvage yard. It has a 3hp Briggs that runs great, but has a bent crank from when it was backed into at the junkyard. Has anyone ever heard of this manufacturer? All I can find is that they are from South Beloit Il and are better known for making snow blowers for skid steers. Thanks.

I looked and couldn't find anything on your setup. Looks like a cool unit.

I tried to find info as well, just vague snowblower info, apparently the company is closed since the death of the owner. Briggs should be able to date the engine--Looks to be an 80's model engine. The wheels look older to me---looks like it would sink bad in the yard.

South Beloit, Il is pretty darn close to Wisconsin.
This is my guess... as I had no luck either..... Looks homemade to me, not mass produced. I'm betting that they made that in house at the factory to spray their driveway, or lawn or something.... and put a sticker on the tank. I'm willing to bet it is one of a kind. I mean, the pipe that holds the wand is open on top. Not a very good design. The front wheel is attached to the tongue, and it has 3 wheels. 3 HARD, narrow wheels. You wouldn't want to use that in a yard if it was full of water. I'm sticking with someone made it and put the stickers on the tank. Or used a tank that had the stickers on it. |

Thanks for the replies guys, South Beloit is less than an hour from me and is even closer to the yard I found it in. I forgot to mention the date code on the engine is a 1985. Jon, you are right the 3 wheeled solid rubber tire design sucks. I have already flipped it over multiple times. It does look fairly similar to this Mighty Mac except for the front end Definitely will make an interesting conversation piece at shows.

Update on this project, I managed to find a replacement 3hp Briggs engine with a 5/8" crank at a swap meet last weekend. It runs pretty good and doesn't vibrate anymore. Doesn't seem to be developing a whole lot of pressure though, I will have to look into that

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
