I need some help... they keep following me home!
Well I broke down and went and got these Saturday... someday I will learn maybe that you can't save them all.. They guy was moving and wanted to thin the herd.. I've been trying NOT to buy them for about a month now!
Rear tractor is IH built Oct 1980. Pretty nice tractor.. guy started a Mag 18 conversion but never really got off the ground with it.. engine is just sitting in the tractor.. all the KT17 stuff got tossed several years ago.. Tractor is straight and clean though. Engine has a 1" crankshaft.. Has anyone ever used an adapter sleeve? I see Small engine warehouse offers a sleeve to go from 1" to 1 1/8". Front tractor is pretty complete but rougher... it's a 1983 CCC built unit.. has most of the parts that got tossed on the other tractor.. Also came with a nice 50" deck.. I have dreams of a 782 with a V twin repower and power steering... hope to make that happen sometime soon!! I really don't need any more Cubs... but I just couldn't leave them sitting there!! I'll get better pics later... I haven't even unloaded them yet!

GREAT pick ups Jay. I will add to your wants list and say you need dual hydraulics on this project. I mean.....why not?
And btw quite the cub hauler you have there. Any stats on the roll back cub/jeep hauler?

Jay, congrats on the 782's!
Where those the ones listed on here by member "Jarhead"? I think he had them on CL too and lives in Blackshear, GA. If so, I was also watching them but I was glad they were too far away from me.

Congrats on a nice haul Jay! Nice pair of 782's. You're not alone, most all of us has had the Cub fever at one time or another. So far this month I've brought 2 home. It's an addiction.

Congrats on the pair of 82's Jay.
At least you now have the machines/bones to make your "dream tractor" when you get time...

Get rid of the roll back--makes it too easy to load (and haul several at once).
Glad to see you got a pair of red ones!

But they are Red! You have to save the red ones, I mean it's a law or something.
Congrats on the haul. I'd like to have a 782 as well

X2 the yellow fever it seems as though I cant even go a whole week without at least looking at another cub and when I see one I automatically start planning how to load it as most of mine when I get them are non runners. I look at every cub I can you can either fix them play with them part them or pass them on to others and spread the yellow/red fever
Congrats on the last haul |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
