Default 169?

Cheap!!! I called the guy. His listing is for the Lancaster area, but the tractor is at his cabin in Potter County, PA. I think it’s a 169, based on the air cleaner. He said it was a 197 model... so I’m sure he doesn’t know what he has. It is a hydro drive though. I want it, but it’s far... anyone live up that way who could meet me half way? Haha

Yeah.... but it’s not really feasible for me to go get it anyway. So I thought I’d share it here for someone to rescue it.

Lance - depending exactly where in Potter Co. the tractor is located, a major portion of the area is about 1 hour from me. If you can make a deal with the guy and pay him, I can go pick it up for you and hold it until we could meet somewhere. Stan

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
