This car is supposed to be white and black but they did have a white and yellow combo back then but the colors were more pastel like the pic below. These colors were picked out by the owner.

Jon mentioned the Crown Vic in his other thread so I thought I'd post some pics from today. I just got done painting the dash parts and steering column.

Tim I just came up with the name of this project. I will call it project “banana cream”.
Anyway, looking awesome as always. Can you tell us posers how you get the sharp lines between the banana and the cream? I’ve heard of and used the 1/4 inch green tape before but wondering how it’s actually done. Assuming you paint the piece all one of the colors then mask off and use the other? Do you sand the area at all of the color underneath so the other color will stick to it? If so what grit? Lots of questions but inquiring minds want to know. Edit: just realized how ironic is it that these are somewhat cub cadet colors. Be honest buddy you're the owner aren't you?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
