Default Kohler KT17 Series II Motor

I've got a KT17 that is running that I'm considering pulling from my 782. It is running, but it smokes bunches. The last time I ran it, it would run, then stall, and start right back up. Feels like the fuel pump went south.

Would there be any value in this motor as is? I'm thinking of repowering with something else as this is my snow blowing machine, and winter is coming.

I'm not sure what your asking.....

You want to know if the old engine has value, so you can sell it? Or you want to know if there is any value in fixing it?

IF..it is a Series I, then it is worth Scrap Value at your local Salvage yard. Non value in rebuilding.

IF..it is a Series II, be happy with offers you get.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
