Well Tom, I thinks you ended up with a darn good looking tractor right there. Good job on all the fixes/mods.

Thanks all for the compliments, they are much appreciated. This project took much longer than I planned on but I think the end result was worth it. My wife commented yesterday how quiet it is when mowing. I am still undecided on a color for the mower deck and undercarriage. I first thought about 935 white for both and keep the white wheels on the tractor. I am now thinking about painting the deck and undercarriage semi gloss black same as the frame and paint the wheels on the deck and tractor non smudge aluminum like the 88 series farm tractors. What do you all think?

Wow! Mirror glass finish and a real powerhouse in it! Their is a huge amount of efforts and money involve in this one! It's a amazing machine period! Well done Tom!

PS: Personally I think 88 series wheels may look gorgeous with a black undercarriage and a red deck, a Massey Ferguson GC series look alike.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
