I was just kidding about running it. I am very disappointed though, I bought this tractor from another OCC member and I am pretty sure he knew it was leaking.

Where in PA are you at? I could take a look at it. I have a 1912 with an Onan engine right now doing exactly the same thing.

I had a Bad oil leak on my M18 and was ready to pull the motor to change the rear seal and found the breather hose going into the air cleaner was broken and inside the breather the rubber disc was was not attached. Oil was being pumped out and blown all over engine. Replaced hose and breather assembly and motor is going on two years with no leaks anywhere
Just a thought you might want to check this before pulling engine. Good Luck! Bill.

Charles, that looks like to 2072 I sold you in the summer of '16? If so, I can assure you it was not leaking when I had it. I did replace the crank seal on the PTO end, and I mowed with it several times and had no other oil leaks.

Yep, it's a seal. They all go bad given enough time.
Pull the engine and replace the seal. It's also an inexpensive fix. You'll have the opportunity to clean it up real nice with the engine out. You might want to check the driveshaft too since it's right there. Have fun.

I'm sure this will go over like a fart in a space helmet on the forum. I put some bars leak stop in the 2072 today. I am unable to fix right now so I'll see what happens. Hopefully I can fix in the winter.
