Prayer for our kids
Two of my sons watched our dog get hit by a car, and feel responsible for calling her from the other side of the highway before checking traffic. Please pray that this image leaves their minds, as well as the guilt, as this can be very scarring.
I later had to put her out of her misery, as her mind was gone, but her body was broken, but alive. It broke her back and there was internal bleeding. No saving her. We are hurting as a family, as she was with us 10 years. My youngest son was 2 when we got her. Thanks. |

I have had the same thing happen to me and man you feel bad after seeing it. Prayers sent. Some of my fondest memories are of the dogs we had when I was a young boy. Is where my love for German Shepherds came from.

It's funny how I am worried about the kids, and my wife just called to say they are worried about me! I have to work late (We'll start planting next week), and they went to church, meaning I am going to go home to a house that is empty in a few minutes. While that does not thrill me, I'll be alright.
Seems they have seen me crying rather hard. It's true, but anyone that has to shoot a loved one to put them out of their misery sure feels the pain. Thanks for the support! This part of the forum is great. |

All our thoughts are out to you and your family IA!
It's a painful job and Heaven knows it's hard to man-up and do what a loved one needs. We hope that soon your family will be able to put this behind them and only be left with the memories of love you shared with your pup! Take care! Neil, Lauren and the kids |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
