Wow that is a nice original!! Thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to get a generic seat and use the saved money for new front wheel bearings. I will save my old seat pan.

As always, you may feel the need to try and recover that seat one day by yourself.

Well had a blowout tonight after two rounds around the lawn. Was hoping the tires would last a little longer but oh well. They more than did their job. Have a set of Carlisle tru-power 23x8.50 12s on the way.

Yes that's my plan, I wouldn't throw it out haha. Though the tires used up my budget for now. Borrowed the neighbors wheelhorse tonight. It's from mid 90s? Man that was nice!

Got new tires mounted tonight. Was fairly straight forward. What psi is average to run in these?

Got em on. I'll experiment with psi when it's nice outside and adjust deck accordingly. Can't wait until we can pour concrete. I hate working on gravel!
Can't get pics to upload. I'll try again later. |

Tires look good mister Nero. I like the 8.50 wide. I didn't think I would as I have 10.50s on my 73 but they look very good and proportional on there. You get them from Miller?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
