I took my delivery valves apart and cleaned everything good and put it back together. I don't have fuel shooting all over now. So I made a quick video on how I checked the injector timing. This is the only way I could find on how it's done. Let me know if it looks right

Timing looks good to me.

How did you clean the delivery valve?

I unscrewed the top where the injector line hooks and removed the spring and delivery valve. I cleaned everything with WD-40 and reassembled. I needed to get the fuel to stop squirting all over so I could check the injector timing. I'm still going to call and see about getting the pump tested.
I noticed if you unscrew the torx screws each delivery valve can be adjusted by rotating it. The holes are slotted. I assume this can adjust fuel to each injector. I think this is set during the rebuild process.

I used to be an ASE certified mechanic at a Chevorlet dealer until I realized I didn't want to turn wrenches for a living. I just never had much opportunity to work on diesels. I can figure most things out but I do appreciate the help from people that know more about these diesels than I do.

Just as a note, you didn't need the key on to check the timing. The pump would have had enough fuel in it to do the check. At least you used oil on it to clean it with, but they should have had diesel fuel put back on them before assembly. Not a big deal on a delivery valve, but something to remember in the future.

I.... don't think so. While I will admit that I have not ever had to change out a delivery valve on one of these pumps, or had one apart, I've had several different styles of pumps apart. I don't think that you need to remove the torx screws to pull the delivery valve. They hold the plunger sleeve in. The plunger sleeve has a hole in it for the fuel feed. This hole also is used to end the injection stroke of the plunger, and has to be calibrated per pump cylinder. A more detailed response would be lengthy..... so I'll just say, that if you did in fact pull the sleeve, I hope you put it back in the same spot, or the timing and fuel delivery to that one cylinder will be off.

No problem. I've been turning wrenches for a while now..... still not sure if a mechanic is what I want to be when I grow up.

Injection pump was bad. I should be getting it back this afternoon. I took it in for a rebuild Monday.

I was originally supposed to get the injector pump back Friday but they didn't have it done. Got it today and hammered it together so I could get my driveway back. It started 100% better than it used too. It also seems to idle smoother and put out less smoke. Not sure what they did but I can tell you it was just shy of $500. Seems a bit steep but it works and I don't expect to have to mess with it again.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
