Already warned the seller about the tender plastic. I have a very nice set of side panels on the shelf. If I have to spring for a new grill I will. I want to make this one into a good looker. It will probably be down to a bare frame overhaul. It will get what ever it needs.

Mike I'm guessing the drone was grounded or it would have been in your barn. Been looking for an 1864 for a long time, had to go to PA for one. Almost had a deal for another one from the same place but that one got sold a few hours after I talked to the guy, told him I would call him back, 1st guy with the $$$ wins . Guess I should have just pulled the trigger. It was a little more than I wanted to spring for but it only had 196 hours on it and it looked like new.

They had another 1864 that was super nice, had a brand new snow blower with wheel weights and a 54" deck 196 hours on the clock. It was a year older than the one I got. I was working on a deal to take both 1864's and the 2072.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
