Default off topic for sale?

I think it would be neat if we could get a off topic for sale/barter section for those of us that would want to sell non cub stuff or trade. Just a idea as I seen a lot of us went cu. Specific collectors

I agree. I think a non Cub section would be a good idea.

I agree, that sounds like a great idea.

I also think this is a fantastic idea. Hope this doesn't get swept under the carpet so to speak.

No sweeping it under the carpet.

There is a reason the site is called "Only Cub Cadets". With discussion from the other Mods and Admin about this, we decided we will keep the current format as is. There are plenty of other places to move and sell the off topic items.

X2 though its not a bad idea, it seem like there are already too many members who join just to sell an item now,6,547 members and only 837 " active" members, being able to sell any outdoors equipment would just be asking for people to join and eat up site storage on member profiles to sell stuff.

OCC from the beginning was and still is all about CUB CADETS and nothing else. Founder David O'Steen had a concept for OCC which is maintained today. OCC is the second largest Cub Cadet web site on the Web only behind Charlie Proctor's IH Cub Cadet site, which has a 10 year membership jump.

We are the only Cub Cadet site that is strictly Cub Cadet. No off brand or topic side threads. We have a General Section that is fairly flexible and so far hasn't got out of hand.

So, I ask......what part of ONLYCUBCADETS does one not understand....???

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
