Yeah I seen that on the website, the pintle does not get changed, the ball bearing had no wear and the springs were springy-not sure what the height spec is on them... I air checked before/after welding and internals moved/seated correctly.

Will do, need a good snow storm to put it to work.
Not sure I want that title lol, I still have the other one I replaced couple years ago as well, going to seal it up as well for a spare.

Thanks for posting this. I have a metal lathe so I will be trying this sometime this winter. I have a couple of valves in a spare hydro that were leaking so what better way to go. As far as the balls in them, any good bearing house can supply them if needed.

Thanks for the positive input. Was a lot easier then I imagined. Just sourced the o-rings at local hydro supply shop. The bearing was flawless. I figured minus the leak past the seal in valve, the tractor operated correctly so that's why I went this route.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
