Just did it-wired a tiny dash LED into the negative side, bingo, flashing light while running and on or off depending on points when key on engine off. Pretty cool, would not have thunk it.

LED with a couple hundred ohm resistor in series, I doubt you could even measure the difference.

Sorry about the poor quality, first time shooting a smartphone video and I had to manipulate the choke etc. I borrowed my buddy's war II era O-scope and there was no measureable difference in KVs. Had the 20 y/o kid at work upload this to youtube. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
