I keep telling you to go get that 1872 in Siler City. Of course, it needs to be like $200 in my opinion--and its still gonna need lots of TLC. In other words, I think it needs to be priced where you could part it out if its toast.

Regarding the number of cadets, I understand. If I order many more parts, those guys are gonna send me Christmas cards! I've got a big enough pile of parts in the shop to keep me busy for a while this winter.

By the way, I got on Facebook yesterday for the first time in months and found a rough looking 782 for $200 in Virgilina--as the name implies its on the Va./NC line near Roxboro.

It sold yesterday . It was a 682 in Raleigh for $400 with deck and it looked to be in very nice condition. Not a giveaway, but a nice price.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
