I'd dig around on google looking for something to bond the rubber to the metal part.

Well I contacted the party I bought the starter from. Told him what had happened, and that I pulled it apart, before I realized there was a warrantee on it. Told me to send it back, on his dime no less
Got a new one in the mail today I'm afraid to put the S.O.B. on try it tomorrow, just to hot out in the garage today, 15*I think I'll move it to the shop tonight then it'll be nice and warm for tomorrow.

What was wrong with your old starter? It could probably be fixed as long as the armature is not toast.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
