Heah J-Mech
I probably will have my local mechanic do my glow plugs. How much do you think it will run? I don't have the time or place to do it plus I know he can do it much faster than I can. Looks like you have to remove a lot of stuff to get to the valve covers then the glow plugs.

Book says it takes about 3.5hr to do that job. For new valve cover gaskets, glow plugs and labor, I'd charge you $477.84 if it was here. So if you can get it done for about $500 I'd say that's fair. My price is for only the listed parts and labor. So, if it needs a belt or a hose or something unknown..... you know what I mean? $500 is a good ballpark number.
PS. you can just PM me Brian, you don't have to ask on the open forum. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
