Default Yamaha FM48 mower

Check this out. From what I can find out it is 2000 rpm with the correct rotation and shaft for our cat 0 cubs with rear pto. It uses what looks like to be a 2 point hitch but maybe it could be changed over to cat 0-3 point. Has anyone ever seen one of these and are they any good? I talked to the guy a week or so ago and at that time he wouldn't go lower than $400.

I knew a guy who had that behind his Yamaha, he had all kinds of stuff, like he bought the Yamaha catalog, he said it was the cat's azz, he loved it. Cleared areas- mostly deer plots-and mowed pond banks with it.

Oak, as far as I know they were made by woods, so it should be a decent mower. Here a little more info too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
