Did some more grading today. Just got a pic this time. Going to have to add more gravel, it's a work in process.

You're getting there Allen. Is it hot down there? We hit mid 90's today with high humidity and a heat index of over 105*. I'm ready for fall............

Nice work Allen!

Spreading gravel with a cub is hard. Front or rear blade. Here's some advice: when you get it spread out, and your just trying to get it all level, either drive in reverse and use the back side of the blade, or if that model will allow, turn it around backwards. When running the blade backwards, it doesn't dig in, it just smooths over so you get that nice even spread. Make sure you have the hitch where it can float when you are finishing.

Thanks Jonathan. The rear blade did a great job for me. I wish my rear blade would go backwards. I did some leveling with my front blade earlier this year. It did a nice job going backwards.

I kinda like the front blade for gravel. It sure takes a while to get used to it, but it works. Too bad these machines won't allow you to put both the front and rear on at the same time. That would make work like your doing a breeze!

It would also be beneficial for the white stuff.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
