One more thing, the 1914 has 3 toggle switches. One is on the right side of the access panel. It has to be activated first before the mower deck pto switch will work. Also the same switch on right side access panel has to be activated before left toggle switch on access panel for rear pto to work. Are 1772's with rear pto have toggle switches in access panel also or, are the toggle switches mounted in the steering tower where the fuses would be? Are 982's toggles mounted like the 1914 in access panel?

why do you have to change the rear end ? Just change the rear cover .

Good news then you should just have to swap out the rear covers when you put the 3pt and pto on the 1772.

Your 1772 should have the wiring for the extra directional toggle switch which you'll have to take off the 1914. The 1772 pto wiring should have a factory jumper on it. You'll have to put that jumper on your 1914 once you remove that directional switch.

My 1772 has no fuses in the steering tower just 2 holes. Is that where the toggle switches are supposed to go originally on a1772 or are they in the access cover like the 1914?

I'm having second thoughts about removing pto and 3pt from 1914. Going with ruegge 3pt still need to know where rear pto switch is mounted on an original 1772 with rear pto.
