Default Where have I been?

As you guys probably know, I havent been around for a long time. well I havent dropped off the face of the planet, Ive been real busy. I'm in grade 10 now, so school work is keeping my spare time minimal. what spare time i do have I have spent on my new cub barn. its a 60 year old grainery, 18X40, but it has a concrete floor!!! I've spent about 3 weeks putting a big door in and cleaning out 20 years of pigion crap. I currently have all of my tractors and attachments inside. I have spent about a month working on my 1650. it had a broken governor, so I had just put in a different 16horse that I had kicking around. I put in new ISO mounts, cleaned up and tightened up the front axel pivot, rebuilt the steering, cleaned the engine off, rebuilt the carb, retuned it, installed a inline fuel filter, and got it running like a top. I changed the rear oil, new filter and a new rear plate gasket. then I put in some lights, and put the sleeve hitch on. I spent a lot of time cultivateing, and promtly split both wings right were the middle shank is attached. I still havent got it fixed lol. so I took that off, and bolted 66 pound of weight to the tiller bracket. then I put on the snowthrower, freed up the chain, greased it up, put chains on the tires, and moved some snow last night. thats all the cub stuff thats been happening. I bought a 316 d**r* a couple months ago for $100. the owner heard a big bang and it stopped running so he assumed a broken connecting rod. 16 dollars and a new head gasket later it runs like new. I sold it for $800. it will spend the rest of its life in a friends 149. The tractor I currently have someone interested in it. it should sell for about $200. not a bad profit margin for a $100 investment!!! I started my own buisness, cubs n stuff. I have business cards now!!! Two weeks ago, our family left for florida, and spent the last 13 days in Disney world. boy, it was a blast! So, sorry for the uber long post, but its whats been up with me for the last couple months. and unfortunatly I probably wont be on here much for the next 5 months either. so I hope your all having fun, and I'm still in on this great hobby. oh, if someone will hook me up... I would like to come to a plowday sometime next year...

Oh, I forgot to add, My dad found a 128 in a old yard. I guess its been sitting for about 15 years. it had a 50c on it creeper, no lights, good seat, and horrible paint and all the tires were flat. when I got it home it had no compression, so I spent a while decarbonizing it, retorqued the head bolts, rigged up a new key and got a spark.. changed the oil and cleaned out the carb. 4 hours of work.. and I drove it around the yard!!!! it blows oil pretty bad, so I'm probably going to get the valve seals replaced and new rings put in. then I might sell it or keep it as anothe worker tractor. not bad for $50!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
