Nice job Frank!
No project is complete until the artwork is on! Now you can call it done!

Looks fantastic!
I like the use of the second set of stock shaped fender versus trying to make one homogenous looking fender.
Almost makes it look like the second axle is a heavy duty trailer.

Awesome Job Frank. Looks incredible and functions too! I've enjoyed watching the progress. I know you said you are a carpenter by trade, but clearly you are pretty good with that shiny steel stuff too!

Nice finish with the decals sawdustdad.

Are you going to make an articulated one next?
I do believe Paul Funk made one and has it on his website

Thanks to everyone for the very kind comments.

I hope you didn't mind my little side stories and comments as we went along.

I appreciated all the suggestions and ideas as this was really a "seat-of-the-pants" build. I had no real plans, other than what I had in my head and several ideas provided by "the peanut gallery" were incorporated into the final product.

Don't really know. The hydraulics are limited to 1500 psi by relief valve, and with a 2 inch piston, that would be about 4500 lbs on piston, at the low angle, about 1000 lbs of vertical lifting force, and with the existing pivot point, and an evenly distributed load, it calculates to lifting about 2000 lbs of payload. Don't think the structure would hold that, so it's probably limited to the frame capacity, not the hydraulics.

Thinking about it. Have some other home projects to keep me busy for the next couple months (re-doing a couple bathrooms). I'm also thinking about an AWD build, using a front axle off a 4WD SCUT of some sort. Not really sure what I want to tackle next. I will need to find another Cub for either project and I'm running short of space to keep them all. Will do some smaller stuff I've been wanting to do and finally have time now that I've retired. Power angle snow blade, a few other things.

Not actually a carpenter by trade, but woodworking has been a lifelong (well, since about 10 yrs old) hobby. I'm just a tinkerer at heart.

I loaded up the Cargo Cub with the tile for the bathroom and tested the lift. After weighing the different tile boxes and adding them up along with the grout and thinset, it totals 735 lbs. The hydraulics had no problem lifting this load.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
