Default Of PTOs & Pulleys

Need some help sorting out a path forward between 2 tractors, 3 CH engines and 2 decks.

My primary mowing rider is an 1864 with a 317 48" deck. It works fine.
I have a CH20 engine as a spare for it and my 2084. It was original to the 2084. The PTO was mostly gone. The crank nose is 1.125". (Not sure about the CH18 iin the 1864)
The PTO mounting is different between the two engines. Can the 917-04180 PTO be mounted to the CH20 in place of the 759-3340 OE PTO the 2084 used?

Is there a pulley size difference? I saw no specs for that.
I do see that the 54" hase a different driven pulley. One day either of the tractors could find my 324 54" under it. Pulley size may be an issue there. I don't mind it ruunning slower, but I don't want to be riding a hovercraft!

Hope that isn't too confusing. I just want to set this spare up for max interchangeability.

As far as I can tell all the Kohler CH engines used in the Cyclops tractor have the same output shaft for the PTO. PTO's on the early Cyclops were 4.5 inches in diameter. All of the later ones were 6 inches. Either type of PTO can be found with the 4.5 in of 6 in pulley. Most people here get the newer style made by Extreme. The size of the deck pulleys is different for the two decks.
I always thought that the 48 and 54 decks only worked with the 6in PTO. . But I found two different diameter deck pulleys on partstree. So maybe they did put the 48in deck on some early Cyclops with the 4.5in PTO. The image below is from the 48in deck parts lookup. Hope this helps.

Default pulleys

Well that makes sense. Presumably the same mounting points exist on the two engines.
I think I have pulleys from both 48" and 54" decks in the parts pile.
Presumably the designed blade speed is the same for both decks, maybe slightly lower on the 54". I'll cross that bridge if I ever come to it.

Thanks for the input Frank.

ETA I see Xtreme has a conversion kit for just this purpose, and a short video to go with. Done deal.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
