Does this look strong enough for a push blade?
I recently purchased an old square Cub Cadet mower deck and push blade, and a 32" simplicity Yeoman/Broadmoor snow blower for $150 bucks. The push blade bracket is somewhat homemade and I'm wondering if I should make some better brackets or does this look good? Also, will this mower work on my cub cadet 102?

As far as the mower goes...technicly yes it will work.... but it needs a certain mule drive for it to work and hangers that bolt to the frame...that deck is from a original some of the 70 s were optioned with it also

It is also a timed deck. The cog belts aren't cheap for them either...IMHO I would find the correct 38" - 42" deck for it.

He means a correct 38" or 42" deck for your series tractor, I would go that route also as parts are more available. If everything on the square deck is good, not big rust holes, I'm sure you could get $100-$125 come spring.
Also like the deck, that plow is for an original too. That particular model plow is not very strong as you picked up on and was replaced with a stronger design pretty quickly. It's a somewhat odd piece and to the right person could be worth $100-$150 bucks? Personally I wouldn't spend the time to make that blade work, if it was a stronger one with and undercarriage, then sure. It's what you got and it's winter so I understand if you do. I think you got a good deal on the attachments, now you just need to find an original to put them on! More cubs = better! By the way, Welcome to OCC! Bill |

The blade bracket- use it. It breaks, fix it.
Repeat.

Welcome to OCC.
The guys are right, the parts you have there, are worth a respectable amount of money to the right person. They can be sold and the money used to buy the correct parts for your machine (probably about even, I don't think you're going to make any money on the deal). Instead of hacking them up, sell them to someone who will appreciate them. then buy the right stuff for your machine.

Pleae sell these to someone who will respect them. Nice mower decks are getting hard to find and that snow blade was only made for one year and is fairly rare and desireable to the right person.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
