Black ice.
Got to work this morning and made it about 3 steps away from my truck and I was airborne. 240lb landing on an elbow isn't fun and my pants are still wet.

I feel your pain. If I know somewhere is slick it’s ok but when you can’t see it coming it’s really bad.

Yup. Be careful when moderate freeze and thaw temperatures take over. Can be treacherous. Hope your sudden stop on terra firma was nothing serious.

This "Black Ice" must be some politically correct invention.
Where I come from, Ice is as clear as the water it froze from, and slicker than snot on yer middle finger. Sorry you fell and "soiled" yer britches. That's hurtful. But you are Lucky, it could of been worse. A Lady I know fell, & broke her wrist, shoulder and hip. Some plates/screws in her wrist and shoulder and a new arti-fishal hip were the outcome. Getting old ain't the "golden" years. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
