Now that the 100 is done time to get back to the Original. Pulled the engine and clutch and the pedestal. Will let the pedestal sit in the electrolysis tub. for a few days.

A day and a half in the electrolysis tub and about 30 minutes of cleanup by hand. Not the quickest process but effective. Really happy that unlike the pedestal on my 100 that if I recall correctly had 7 extra holes that I needed to weld, there has not been any modifications done to this one.

Did the electrolysis process loosen the paint too?

Yes takes all the paint off. Most was loose in the tub then I used a pressure washer to take most of the rest off. The rest came off easily with 120 sand paper using almost no effort.

Yes. here is a link for a good tutorial. It works best if you have good sacrificial metals. Since I just replaced the badly worn out mower deck blades on my 100, I used the old one and they have a lot of surface area and worked really well.
