BAD day for the 70!!!!!!!!!!!
The guy hauling my daughters 70, sends me a text saying the tractor was damaged. He said the hood was bent just a little and he would not charge me for the haul job. Hood and steering wheel (bent/cracked) are wasted! I'm VERY unhappy today to say the least. The frame has been brush painted at one time, which explains the color difference. It has very straight, besides the hood,. The trans feels and shifts nice. The seat pan is mint. Engine runs nice, starts easy, but does smoke a bit. We'll definitely be restoring her after we move. I'm in the market for a clean hood and steering wheel though....

Does he realize how much parts for these cubs cost? I would be sending him a bill of repair.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
