Sugarmaker, I just thought it might suit my build. My 2072 is just for playing in the garden so re moving the stack for maintaince would not be an issue. I don't think I would try it on my every week yard mowing tractor. Anyone have thoughts on the noise level of a 2 into 1 straight pipe stack other than really loud? I've thought about a small tractor muffler or even maybe one of those chrome muffled tips like you see on 4 cylinder cars.

I know you have the really loud part right! I think there is info on here somewhere about motor cycle baffles for around $10 plus shipping that could be dropped in the stack to reduce the noise but keep the look. That was what I was going to do just have not got there yet. I will try to search for it. Cracking the pipe on the 147 is still a thrill. I have never been and motor head and dont claim to be. But the kid in you comes out when you crank one of these up and back it of!  Regards, Chris
