I have been plowing for over 25 years I think this might be my last. The new codes for parking lots are a nightmare. Nooks, crannys, islands and trees it's brutal. We do a school district with a bunch of new schools it's awful takes forever. Lots of small inlets that need to be back drug. This thing would be helpful in those spots. Also around here lots of short pull in drives that can only be back drug so the faster you can do that the more $$ can be made. I don't see much benefit on tractor plow. Tractor should be small and nimble enough to push instead of pull.

Various types of backdrag edges are available for most truck plows so it must be working well enough for some people.

The business I use at work to do snow removal uses a small Wacker Neuson articulated wheel loader. He's got a straight blade on the front with a New Holland detachable cage. It is VERY slick the way it all comes together. We have a very tight circle turn around in front of our building and every single truck we've had do it does a shitty job whether it's a straight blade, v blade, etc just because it's so tight. That wheel loader can shave the snow off the curb closer than my razor when I shave. That thing gets every bit of our lot clean and super close to everything. He'll come in, drop the cage (in all of about 5 seconds), and get everything pushed out from curbs, the circle drive, around cars, etc then pick up the cage and push it all away. It's really quite an impressive setup. Nimble enough to get around obstacles yet big enough to push big piles of snow and quick enough to just drive from one job site to the other. I put a link to the unit our guy has.

I used to plow the parking lots at the car dealer I work at...the previous owner had a skid steer with a 9 foot Protech snopusher. And of course a bucket, worked slicker than anything, could stack as high as you wanted and come the thaw could break the piles down to melt over a weekend. When he sold the new owners didn’t want to buy the loader off him and instead bought a truck and plow. Having used both, I’d take the skid steer. Harder to maneuver the truck around new car inventory and the building. I could see the advantage to the backdrag edge though, it would make things way easier here. I’ve tried to get them to at least buy a cub with a blower on it for the right areas, no luck. Sorry for rambling

I see it useful in Big lots but that's it. I still love my R-bucket & blade setup on 782. I can clear a small lot in under an hr and my 6 car driveway takes me little to no time.

Agreed. On a CC blade just leave it as is. Shovel what you miss instead of spending a bunch of time trying to micro manage it with a Cadet.

Time to test out that "Trail Ratedz' Jeep Liberty when trying to get out of that. LOL. I saw that and would be ticked if it was my vehicle. However, I don't live in town and certainly wouldn't park on the street during a snow storm as the city probably had a snow parking ban posted.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
