Default Norad Santa tracker

This may be of interest to some of you with smaller kids, or if you are the "fun" kind of grandpa. If you are a curmudgeonly old Ebeneezer Scrooge, do the rest of us a favor and ignore. I don't know how many years NORAD has been doing this, but I'm glad they do. Back in the stone ages I remember watching out the kitchen window late Christmas Eve to see if anything unusual went down the highway. Spotted a tractor trailer, mama said that was another load of toys to refill the sleigh. That's all it took for me--to bed I went! Back in those days Ertl and Tonka filled the living room floor. And yes, I still have 99% or those toys. Just wish my knees felt like crawling on the floor for hours on end!

It all started by accident. A company ran an ad in the newspaper for kids to be able to call and see where Santa was, they put the wrong number in the paper and it turned out the number was for NORAD. They played along and have been doing it ever since.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
