farmall H's didn't have live hydraulics or pto, super H's, early had live hydraulics, late had both. Be very carful with a loader on a narrow front tractor, it wont take much to lay it on its side.

Congrats! I too have been watching CL for such a tractor, and there are a couple good ones on there. Now there is an F-20 that is tempting me as well. $400 is quite a deal!

Enjoy!!!

Default Farmall H's with loaders

Stitch;

My family has had a few H farmalls, I still have one with a loader much like the one in Merc's picture. I have owned this tractor for nearly 30 years, it has always worked well inspite of the abuse it has endured. My loader will lift about 10 feet. I have never known of any Hs that came with live power, or live hydraulic, or power steering, although I think those can be added.

Like Merc said, the old Hs are work horses, just not the most fun to operate,
and they are Red.

My two cents;

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
