Put a new cork gasket behind the hydro pump while I had it on the bench. Don't really think it was leaking. Hope to get the rear end completely reassembled tomorrow a days possibly installed with the Xtreme brackets.

Had some welcomed help from brother today welding up the egged out lift brackets for the Haban deck. The front and rear of the lift brackets both needed attention. Got those ground down tonight too.

A mountain of progress today. The rear end is back in the frame. Many hurdles we're overcome today. I took piles of pictures. PO'S had ruined the hydro drain bung under the filter. They spun the interior of the square so it could not be turned out. And red lock tight was visible in the threads. My brother to the recuse. He welded a big washer to the steel plug. We were them able to turn the plug out with big channel plyers. Here come the pictures.....

And more pics. I had to look.at previous pictures to figure out just how some things went back together. Some times the service manual diagrams are difficult to.dicern. lining up.all the frame holes and Xtreme bracket holes was not easy. Bad words were said and knuckles were scraped.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
