Default I used to hate sweeping....UNTIL NOW!

Here is my "new to me" sweepster broom on my 129 with my new tri-ribs on the front. The tri-ribs were super easy to steer, but when I put the sweepster broom on last night at 8pm with the help of the seller, it added some weight and the steering isn't as easy, but still much better than if I had wider tires on it. It has it's own electric lift to it, just need to hook up a toggle switch. I have wanted one for several years and just got lucky to find one at a very reasonable price--patience pays off! Now, I'm looking forward to sweeping the yard, sidewalk......heck, I might even sweep the living room, kitchen and bedroom with it!

I've got one of those for my John Deere. Mine is a little older, but looks pretty much the same.

A couple words of advice, keep all the u-joints and couplings tight on the shafts. Mine have a tendency to wobble a lot and shake loose. In fact if I have much more trouble with them I just might convert it to hydraulic drive.

And hang some weight off the back of the tractor, that will help a lot with steering.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
