Really Cool IH refrigerator !!!
I buy equipment from this auction company all the time. Never have I seen one of these though. I'm mentioning it here because I thought it would be cool in one of the members garage or man cave. I think there is about a week left of bidding.
Here is the link and a couple pictures. https://www.auctionsinternational.co...igerator-86314

It doesn't say, but if it had the old R-12 refrigerant, you could keep that thing going.
Simple system. Static Condenser and no Evap Fan Motor. Perfect for a Beverage Cooler.

My grandfather had one of those on his back porch when I was a kid, and always had it stocked with Old Milwaukee cans! He also had an International Harvester Scout. But no IH garden equipment...

Yup. thankfully even tho you cant get real R12 you can get the equivalent. It could also be charged with propane which I personally would convert. Sorry I put it in the wrong spot btw.

I like it. And the genny sticker on it. So many of my family and friends used to drink genny cream ale.
My parents still have a fridge like that in their basement, made by Westinghouse, still cools the drinks down almost 60 years later and they’ve done nothing to it.

I was at a guys house a few years back buying a Cub and he had one just like that in his garage. He had told me that when he bought it there was nothing left of the cooling system so he went and bought a brand new fridge and gutted the parts out of it and installed them into the IH fridge, he also had the outside repainted Cub yellow. It looked really nice and must have worked pretty good because it was packed full of Budweiser.

I am NOT a fan of the R-290 (Propane) refrigerant. That opens a whole host of other problems and I am not sure one can do that type of conversion.
Yes, there are a number of R-12 alternatives that would work well and ready available if this system needed some work. None the less, it would be a cool purchase.

also found this... seems they are kinda rare Produced for barely a decade, roughly 1946-1956, few International Harvester refrigerators remain to satisfy collector demand. The original price tag of $220 to $400 is many times that in today's vintage collectible market. A few years ago International Harvester's present owner, CNH Industrial, negotiated with licensees to produce Irma Harding products. Models In 1950 there were six International Harvester home refrigerator models and a choice of ten door handle colors. Another model was added in 1951 (including the HA-74, HA-82, HA-83, HA-84, HA-92, UA-87, UA-95) and in 1952 came an eighth model, the G-93, and an eleventh door handle color. By 1954, a year before the plant was closed, the number of models dropped to seven and colored door handles were discontinued.

I've been on the hunt for one of those for about a year now. Maybe someday one will pop up for sale around me.
Pretty hard to beat good old R12 refrigerant and now R22 is going away and leaving us with a bunch of crappy new stuff.....sorry, rant over.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
