Default Spring Fever,, My New Lawn Mower,,,

I could not resist, the local dealer had 4 Woods six foot mowers,
the boss told the salesman, "Get rid of them at cost!"

I ended up getting it for about 25% below any price I ever was given,, and I have been looking for over 2 years,,,

The thing is a beast, it has a 60HP gearbox, 6 foot cut, solid tires, and solid steel bar welded on at the bottom edge of the housing,,

There are 3 more, if anyone needs one, near Roanoke Virginia

Good deal, but why so cheap? Never heard any complaints on Woods mowers by the way.

The dealer is really a construction equipment dealer, not AG or lawn,,
so they do not move,,
they had sat for two years,,,

For having set for two years it looks very good, not yet weathered.
Except for the pto shaft storage chain, lol.

Is the center front anti-scalp roller included or optional?

WOW, no bargain there.

I would be getting a good roller for something else and making a mount to fit those existing holes for that amount.

Would do a better job too..........

I would have started today, but, the rain is CRAZY!!

We had a half inch last night, we have had an inch in the last 2 hours,,,

I may get to try the new mower,,,, in June!!

I did broadcast new grass seed before this wet spell started,, about 250 pounds.
ALL of the grass is coming up, even though most was just put on top of the dirt.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
