Yes I did.
There must be a blockage somewhere that I could not clear up.
Have good fuel pressure, good fire to the plugs.

Before and after pictures of my progress.
New parts include fuel pump, carberator, both the front and rear seals and new seal around low fuel sending unit and new belt for mowing deck.
Repaired bad places in wiring harness, repaired plunger that goes into pto switch( had to glue it back in place on the inside of switch) works great now.
Need to get a new seat safety switch, and new headlight bulbs and new hydraulic filter.
Also have a slight leak on top of the hydraulic valve that raises and lowers mowing deck.
Any thoughts on that???

Looks great Walter.

The 3000 series machines have issues with leaking spool valves. (mine do)

I ordered my O rings from McMaster Carr and the part numbers are in the pic. I replace the spring on the inside of the valve when I rebuild them too. The part# for the spring is 732-3059. These are easy to rebuild but a PIA to get them out of the machine.

I have mowed 3 times with the 3186 and so far I am very impressed with the way it mowes and the way it steers.
I have raised the mowing level to 4" on the advice of a friend who owns a mowing service.
They mow at 5.5 inches.
At 4 inches I do not have the brown spots that I had at 3 inches.
The lift control valve ill rebuild this winter. Also i need to get 1 tube for 1 of the rear tires. 1 already has 1 in it.
The engine is running a lot cooler and all the screens are in place to keep the grass out of the motor.
Low fuel sensor is working great after I put it back together.(it was apart in bottom of the fuel tank)
Adjusted the throttle cable and mower does not bog down in tall grass any more.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
