Snow blade & hanger manual
For my library, and future use of our cubbie, I need two or one manual.
List for my "new" '95 1641 says I can use 190-375 (42") or 190-376 (54") snow blades. The hanger for this Cub says, 190-316 which will be used for either blade. Any *.pdf manuals 'round these parts? We're shoppin' for a pair, preferably a 54". A friend has one, I have to go see it but don't know the width or hanger model.

We have this marvelous thing here on OCC it's called the tech library. Take some time and browse through it. Anyway here is the 54" blade info. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=7434 Plus you already asked the same question in this thread. http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=36913

Thanks Sam. I did download the 54" blade manual but, curious.
The part number is "401" the 1641 manual says, "375" or "376". The 401 does look like it would work, or I could make it do so but, is there a difference? Frame? Blade?

The wide frame blade will work on your 1641. There was a subtle difference in the frame for the 1641 but not enough that a regular wide frame blade won't work. Yes, there are some model number differences, but don't worry about it. It's almost impossible to find front blades by the model number as most of the time they are just listed as "blade". If you find one and aren't sure if it is correct, just post a pic and we can tell you.

Thanks to both of you "Cubbies", learnin' lots here and, really like the 1641 the more I "play" with it.
The only IH I've ever owned was a 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive 1971 pickup, purchased new in Tempe, AZ. Was a great pickup truck on the desert but had to go Super Cab after a couple of children. At the time crew cabs only had a 6-foot bed, too short for my slide in camper. My 1st tractor, crank start, a '32 Farmall. Just for fun, my two sons 'n I loved it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
