Travis

It was 58 here today. I was working in a tee shirt in the shop. I plan on running it before if goes to SC. May as well till my own garden after all the work I put into it. Gotta say it has the easiest starting B&S I've ever run across.

Supposed to warm tomorrow so I may play with that 1862 that the tiller originally was hooked up to so I can decide if it's worth saving or parting.

Looks great Sam! You'll love it, my guess is the 149 may go south after your "test" session.

Glad the engine runs well and who knows, this engine may just turn you around on B&S motors.......Ha

The 400 is done. Welded the belt guard cover, tapped the bolt holes for 1/4"- 20 bolts and replaced the rear cover chains. Hooked it up to the 1862 and put it in storage till spring when it will get put to work.

The 1862 then made it's way to the operating table to be dissected.

Sold the 400 tiller to Rguyer04. He picked it up today and it's headed to PA. Great meeting another member. Happy tilling Ron.

Sweet, hope it serves you well. I trust you'll keep us posted with pics of the results.

I need to get the 149 out of storage and ready to till our garden now that old man winter has finally given up.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
