Default Rear Axle Seal Size 782?

Hi,

one Problem is done, the next Question is coming.

Next Time, i want to change the Hy-Tran Fluid and Filter, of my 1984 Cub Cadet 782. Have a Cast Aluminium Rear End.
Because the 782 is more than 30 Years old, i want to change the Axle Seals too.

Whats the corrrect Size of this Rings?

At my Case IH Dealer, i can get Hy-Tran Ultraction, can i take this Fluid? Whats the best Fluid for the Tranny?

Have the WIX 51410 Filter,

mfg Georg

Georg:

Attached is the Rear Axle image for the 782, with serial number 720,000 and greater. You will need OEM Seal Part No: 721-0187------> 921-0187.

As far as the Hydraulic Fluid, Cub Cadet recommends HyTran but you can use what ever Hydraulic Fluid as you have available and see acceptable.

Hi Georg, we are making up for you here. Very cold and 8-10" snow on the ground. Last year was our lazy year. Mike

Glad you were able to get your seals ordered and delivered.

Our last 3 winters have been very mild. This year, we did experience extreme low temperatures, but very little snow.

Looking forward to warmer weather!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
