Got a hacked up 42" front blade that appears to have been made into a rear blade(?) and a QA36/42 (?) snowthrower. The blade is all welded into a odd set up.... but the blower appears to be in good shape. That's why I think the sickle mower would fit a Cub... because everything else in the ad does. Title of his ad: "Lawn tractor things", LOL.

The armature of it kind of resembles what is on the front of this wheel horse....

I agree! That's what I found also. It looks almost identical to that one, except the main "frame" bar that would extend under the tractor looks shorter. I really think it may be for a WH. Also, I think that the the "triangle" part that is welded to the corner of the "T" where the cutter bar meets the frame has been added. |

I'm taking it back.
While it does look very, VERY similar to the CBR-32 cutter bar, the bar is different. So are the end runners. Look how the CBR-32 has extra holes in the back of the cutter bar? See how the runners (the part on the outside that looks like a sled runner) bolt to the white one, while the CBR they mount differently? Drivers are different... I don't think we've found a match yet. cutter bar 1.jpgcutter bar 2.jpg |

maybe it mounts to the back of the tractor and you run a long belt to it and mow in reverse.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
