Bushings for deck wheels
Guys just replaced the bushings in some of those ball type deck wheels, the ones no one ever greases. Got the bushings from McMaster Carr. They are just a little shorter than what came in the OEM wheel but they are only $1.52 each part number is 6338K422 Of course you can buy new wheels from Cub part number 703-1890A for $23.62 ea.
Pic is the wheel I'm talking about from the Cub site.

Thanks for posting. That's a lot better than buying bushings at the hardware store for $5-$6 ea.

No grease
Hello. I am in the process of redoing a 48" deck with the same wheels and the reason no one greases them is because on mine the grease gun will not attach correctly and the grease goes on the outside of the fitting. I took a burr and cut a small portion of the wheel away to allow the gun to align correctly. Then I tried the gun and the fitting would not take grease. I removed the zerk and found the internal spring and check ball to be rusted solid. It looked like it had NEVER been greased. By the way, that is a good price for the bushings.
