Default Cub Cadet 1420 deck installation

Does anyone know where I can get the info on a 1420 deck installation. I have the owners manual but they don't cover it. Thanks Jim.

Anybody? Anybody? I bought the 1420 and it had a snowthrower mounted to it. I am trying to mount the deck and could not figure it out. Maybe missing brackets or something. The model is lt38 or 38lt. If anyone could point me to a manual or post a picture of their deck mounted, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks jim

did the mower come with the sub-frame for the mower deck? If the tractor came with the blower on it then the sub frame was not on it. You might need to get one.

I don't know that there is a specific "deck installation manual". Usually, the Owners Manual covers this.

Since you did not give a model number of the deck, it is impossible to answer your question.

Research Reveals:

The 1420 had an option of three different mower decks. So, if your go here.... Manual Lookup... and type in, Model: 190446100, Serial: 1, it will bring up a menu. Click on manual 772-4068A. This may not be your model of mower deck, but it will give you an idea how to attach a deck to your tractor.

Thanks for the replies. The link Roland hooked me up with helped. I was missing more than I thought. My deck tag says 38" Lt deck 441190 38lt. There was 1420 for sale about an hour away. Missing the deck but has more hardware than mine. The guy sent me a couple picture s . It looked mostly there, but didn't see the lift links. I'll try to post them and would really appreciate any opinions. Thanks jim

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
