That one is pretty rough, if you had your own welder you could fix it up pretty good, but if you hafta pay someone to do it for you, you would probably be better off to get find a Wide Frame blade to use and sell the one you have to someone who needs/wants a project or maybe someone who just needs a Narrow Frame sub frame.
That would be a win-win (except for the guy that you would have paid to do the welding).

Thanks everyone. I think I might just pull it off the frame and junk the blade. I have some other scrap metal to get rid of and then I'll start looking for the right setup. Gotta put that wife to work if she's volunteering!

Better!
Well, this one looks a might better. Has both skids and the wide frame setup. Just need the handle to lift it now and some time to get it ready. I think I'll just get it on the 782 this year and then do the restore when the good weather comes back next spring.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
