Hows every body doing? Wondering if anyone has ever had their hydrollic pump apart to change the front seal? And if there is anyway to beef it up while i have it apart?

What are you working on? As far as changing the seal for the charge pump, it's an easy job. All covered in the service manual.

Thanks Sam! I got it figured out. Working on my 104 with dozer blade. The hydro pump shaft was leaking like a siv! Was wondering if i needed to pull pump apart to change seal.

Sorry guys! Next time i will try to be clearer! I get in such a hurry that i forget.
Boy this thing is a little beast! We have moved tons of dirt already! With lots more to go! Wish i either had narrow wheels and tired for front or the blade to be about 4 inchs wider so tires wouldn't hit side of dirt pile

I can turn one set of front wheels around so the offset is in. If you try it just watch the valve stem

Never thought of that! I had one of those e-z stear knobs on the steering wheel til tire hit side of pile and it ripped it out of my hand and whacked my wrist bone!! Worst part is i kinda seen it coming!!

Its already turned that way. I will have to keep my eyes open for a set of narrow tires and wheels. Or maybe widen my blade? We'll have to see how it goes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
