Default Mule Drive Pulleys and deck idlers

Hey All-

looking over things for spring, I seem to have quite a bit of mule drive pulleys that are shot or otherwise not long for this world. I searched the forums here, but was unable to find a p/n for the 1/2" drive pulleys. I seem to recall seeing a Napa or MTD # at some point but am unable to find it now. Are the 1/2" pulleys the same all through the narrow and wide frame mule drives? I also found this blown idler pulley on a 42" QA deck. Any leads on a replacement for that? The deck is in too good of condition to sideline just because of this idler pulley.

Here is a web site for MFG supply,I just purchased one of these idlers for an older 42" deck with a IH part # of 542520-R91 http://www.mfgsupply.com/catalogsear.../?q=542520-R91

I did some searching and found these on mowerparts.com:

http://www.justmowerparts.com/result...ywords=280-188

I ordered 4 of them and so far so good! These are the cast metal pulleys, not the plastic ones that I have seen elsewhere.

I also got a flat idler from the MFG supply site but I still have to install it on the 44A deck before I give it the thumbs up. I wound up stealing a flat idler from a pin-on deck I was scrapping for the QA42" deck in the picture, not it's under the beater 125 and working fine!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
