I'd really like new firestone ags for the rear......and a new hood (with good corners), the steering rebuilt, new hydro linkage, dentless fenders, dash, etc....

Also, another good book, but it's "kinda" hard to find, and can be pricey, but it's Original Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet. By Kenneth Updike.
If your looking for some interesting books about Farmall tractors, Farmall Cub and Cub Cadets by Kenneth Updike go to abebooks.com and search Kenneth Updike. I found 4 different titles including Zippy1's book. They have used as well as new available.

Titles available that they show: Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet (2002). Original Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet (2005/06). Classic Farmall Tractors (2008). Classic Farmall Tractors 1922-1975 (no date). Red Tractors 1958-2013 (2013).

Some were definitely on the "pricey" side.

I've bought numerous books through this sight and have never been disappointed. A really good reference sight for books and book values. They use to be independent, but IIRC Amazon bought them a few years back.

yup, I gave my wife a couple of hints, that come from online sources, that the local mall or Farm and fleet (she actually works there!!) don't have on their shelves... she tried to specify "something she can pick up in town".... I said "well, have it shipped to the UPS store then".... she didn't like it....
I asked for truck and tractor stuff.... and a couple of specialty tools.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
