Thanks! He actually has triple brow tines on his left side but the back one is quite a bit shorter, his right brow tine is pretty bladed. He does have good mass, his g4 on left is a little weak. Taped him out at 154, gross. Ya I always score gross, that is what the deer grew. The other rifle deer taped out at 150, really tall 2'a and 3's but average mass, tip of left main beam busted off. Muzzleloader deer ( took me five years to draw that tag, damn near had a mid 160's but that is another story) taped out at 139 and has about 10 inches missing between two tines, broke off g3 and another point growing off main beam right next to that g3. By the time I fix his points he will be close to 150. I've shot bigger than these but still a pretty good year, will probably put them all on the wall just because I can, I am a taxidermist.

This is the only side pic I have of him

Man, that is a great buck, from any angle
I've got a few with missing tines, but that's the way I got them so that's how they went on the wall..
My best was a 4 1/2 year old grossed 162, if I never get another that's ok. I watched this joker from a 1 1/2 and hoped every year he'd make it. Get a picture here and there, mostly night shots. Only one picture of him as a
2 1/2, thought maybe we lost him but he turned up in the spring.

Thanks! Yeah it is neat watching them deer. Where I hunt I pretty much watch them year round, lots of glassing through the spotting scope as we have lots of wide open spaces here, get some trail cam pics, and of course pick up their sheds. Pretty neat to find a set of sheds and have never seen that buck before, have lots of sets of sheds off same buck, neat to see them grow year to year. Depending on the winter I usually find between 200-400 sheds every spring. If I could only do one, I would hunt sheds instead of pulling the trigger.

My best is 164 and my wife's is 168,............. she never lets me forget. Tried like heck to shoot him with my bow, then found him during rifle season and could have shot him but let the wife instead. Buddy's give me heck for that but it didn't bother me any.

I usually do not fix points on my personal deer, but fix a lot for customers. This muzzleloader deer is just missing to many inches to not fix it, especially if I am going to do a shoulder mount.

Got a pic of your 162? It doesn't matter where a guy hunts, any buck in the 160's is a great deer. It is crazy how some of them bucks can disappear for a year and then show up the following year. We had a buck this year that we seen a lot during early archery season, we never got close to him but figured him to go in to the 160's, main frame 4 with huge split 2's. split brows and lots of main beam and mass, looked like a monster on the hoof, only seen him once during rifle season, bedded on wrong side of fence, then only seen him once during muzzleloader season, came very close to pulling the trigger, dang doe busted me, then I found him bedded the last day of archery season, I knew exactly where he would get up and go to feed come evening, had a good wind for where I could sit, but I figured he eluded me all season and I did not even try for him, went and sat in another spot and killed a big fat doe. I know where he is wintering now and should have a pretty good chance at finding his sheds and will be exciting to see what he will be next year!

Here's a picture. 163 6/8 total gross. Typical 10pt with two kickers off the front.
19 3/8 spread with 23" and 22" main beams.
Our first picture of him of the year, 6/24/11
Then we got a picture on 8/26/11, killed him on 9/17/11 opening evening of our archery season. I use a Ten Point crossbow, (handicap) now anyone can use crossbow starting this last year 2014.
Last picture was him in 2010 as a three year old. He always ran with a heavy beamed 10 point the neighbor got rifle season. He was in the 140's?
Then as he resides on the wall.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
