Cast end deck help
Hey guys,
I am working on a friends 102 with what I believe is the 38in cast end deck, I measured from left blade end to right blade end as I was told to do, and I keep coming up with 38in, I ordered 2 new belts for the deck and the deck belt one I received is too short, so I was wondering if by chance I have a 42in deck and ordered 38in deck belts. Here's a pic of what I'm working with. Don't mind the 38in decal, as I put that one awile ago pretty sure it was 38in. Thanks, Nick |

The 754-3002...>>>>> 954-3002 is a spindle belt for the newer 38/38A/38C decks found on the 1x8/9, Quietline, and 82 series tractors.

What would the belt # 490489R2 be for? It was what this deck and tractor had as a mule drive belt, which I believe is incorrect because it kept coming off, it now has the correct mule drive belt which is # 473462R4.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
