Very nice! Red is for the blood we shed, or throw snow?

Yep I think you should have the snow problem under control with that pair.

Thanks guys! The 982 is really a 2072. I took a little work to make the QA42A work on it, but it works pretty good. The power steering and heavier belt sure make a difference

i see hydraulic lines on that snow blower....any chance you have a hydraulic motor running the chute turn? if so...any pics of that setup?

nice 82 and 72 in disguise.

yes, there's a motor on the chute. I did some trading and came up with the motor a few years ago. I had to cut the welds off the chute and orient the chute different on the bottom ring to get everything how I wanted, but it works good. I have a flow control to install still as it turns pretty fast right now. Here's a picture of it when the thrower was mounted on my 1650.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
